Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute audit assignments from planning through to completion, including reviewing financial statements and identifying areas of risk. Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and other relevant standards (estimated 20% time allocation).
Liaise directly with clients to ensure clear communication and delivery of high-quality audit work. Ensure audits comply with relevant regulatory and professional standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of internal audit procedures and controls to strengthen audit quality.
What We’re Looking For:
- Recent, proven experience in an audit-focused role within a practice environment is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, FRS102 and UK GAAP. Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (SAICA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Ability to lead audits independently and deliver within deadlines in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with audit and accounting software (CaseWare, QuickBooks, CCH, SAPA, Inflo and Dext experience is advantageous).
